Maiolica has a long history in Florence. Once used as decorative inlay on the walls of the city?’s palaces and its country villas, it has also been used for centuries to create pottery for the home. Our unique collection includes household ornaments, plates, cups, and vases, entirely handmade and hand-painted, piece by piece, as they were during the medieval and Renaissance periods. Each of the following objects is a masterpiece from Florence, where the tradition of handmade majolica, at its highest level of creativity, continues today.
