A CENTURY IN THE MIRROR
One hundred years of Italian history through the lens of the greatest Italian and foreign photographers. A gallery of pictures, often completely unpublished, which help to think back over ?– in a chronologically ordered panorama ?– the changes and characteristics of our country over the entire period of the 20th century. The Alinari Archives and the personal archives of the greatest photographers of the century have agreed to collect hundreds of photographs of enormous documentary value: from history to custom, from art to industry, from daily life to sports, from fashion to technology, photography helps the reader of the CDROM to understand how Italy assumed those characteristics that make it a country that ?– from many points of view ?– is truly ?“unique?”.
