THE SELF AND ITS DOUBLE
Produced by Fratelli Alinari on the occasion of the exhibition ?“L?’io e il suo doppio?”, the CD photo ?“La sintassi della vertigine?” offers a re-reading in a semiological key of 118 portrait pictures. There are 24 photographs, subdivided chronologically into four chapters, each one introduced by a prologue. The critic Omar Calabrese comments and analyses the significance of the production of portraits and the stylistic and cultural courses that have characterised one hundred years of photography. The CD photo makes it possible to recall and enlarge the desired pictures little by little, and to consult the biographical data on each author.
