More than 150 pictures, taken by the most famous family of photographers in Trieste, make it possible for the first time both to evaluate the work of one the most important Italian photographic studios as a whole, and also to follow the evolution of aesthetic research of the new reproduction technique. The documentary-type of pictures by the founder of the family, Giuseppe, the manipulations of a pictorial nature in the portraits by Carlo, and the search for a living innovative language on the part of Wanda and Marion, are the principal guidelines of the photographic language perfected within the atelier.
