SANTA CROCE IN THE 800's
A re-interpretation of the complex 19th-century events which transformed the Florentine Franciscan basilica of Santa Croce into the national Pantheon. The great construction site for the building of the façade, Dupré?’s important artistic interventions, as well as the emblematic restorations of Giotto?’s frescoes or, again, the numerous paintings that embellished the chapels of the church; but above all the first census of the marble memorial stones of the burial ground and of the ?‘tombs of the powerful?’, are the stages of a fascinating documentary and artistic journey to discover one of the most famous churches in Italy.
