CANGRANDE'S FABRICS
Starting from the finding of precious fabrics inside the arch of Cangrande della Scala at Verona, when it was opened in 1921 on the occasion of the six-hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri?’s death, the volume is a collection of seventeen essays of a high scientific profile that update the studies made at the time of the finding by Professors Avena and Sangiorgi. The writings are abundantly accompanied by graphics and photographics that make interesting comparisons between ornamental and iconographic motifs possible. A glossary of technical terms is included in the appendix.
