SANTA MARIA NOVELLA 1990
The restoration of the station of Santa Maria Novella in Florence was a great architectural enterprise that was realised on the occasion of the ?‘Italia Novanta?’ sports manifestation. The volume documents the genesis of the interventions in detailed manner: from the presentation of the designs to the choice of materials; from the realisation of new space to the renewal of the interior decorations; from the restoration of the sculptures to that of the beautiful photographs on display in the arcade. A precise testimony to an important monument in the architectural renewal of an important building within the town-planning context of one of the loveliest art cities.
