WOMAN " LA BELLE EPOQUE"
In stage costume or in fashionable clothes, women are the protagonists of the photographs realised by Gaetano Puccini, a workman at the Fratelli Alinari plant at the end of the last century. In the scenography of the theatrical background of the Alinari posing room were immortalised the languid gazes of the female personalities of the legitimate stage, opera, and music hall, creating images that are both the documents of an era and a culture, and also an extraordinary repertory of portraits. In the book?’s pages, there is the passage of the elegant, ambiguous and melodramatic character of women during La Belle Epoque.
