ARCHITECTURE AND PHOTOGRAPHY
The volume is not proposed as an anthology of photographic images of architecture between the 19th and 20th centuries, whoever the photographer might be, but it intends to show some aspects and results of the relationship that photography had with architects and teachers of the schools of architecture and then of the university Faculty of Florence. The book is divided into different sections which, starting from the emblematic images realised by Fratelli Alinari, follows with the photographic collections created by architects. These documents of repertories, of both knowledge and instruments of design, continue with photography as a support in the work of restoration, and conclude with photography as a moment of the same architect?s formal creativity.
