THE OLD CRAFTS
More than sixty images dedicated to work: to work in Tuscany and to women?’s work, through which to discover the importance of tradition in the professions, of commitment and of toil, just as of the joy and emotions that work can create. The professions of an Italy that was, with its regional specificities and characteristics: the ?“water vendors?” of Palermo, the ?“macaroni sellers?” of Naples, but also the marble excavators of Carrara and the alabaster stone cutters at Volterra. And still on a tour of Italy, photos of peasants gathering olives or harvesting wheat; of blacksmiths, sand diggers, and - proceeding north - the images of work in the factories such as the Luxardo factory or the Alex J Hamrah company, or even Richard Ginori.
