FLUTE PLAYER
This painting is taken from a decoration on the Etruscan Tomb of the Leopards in the Necropolis of Tarquinia that takes its name after a couple of Leopard painted on the tomb. It is a huge fresco and shows scenes of a funeral banquet with many servants pouring wine, family scenes, and musicians playng different instruments. This is a portion with a flute player surrounded by wild country flowers, an image that still well represents the spirit of this culture.
Dimensions: 37 x 28 cm
