THE APARTMENTS OF THE PRIORI
The second in a series of three books which make up the first comprehensive documentation of the Palazzo Vecchio. The "Palazzo dei Priori" is the original nucleus of the Florentine "Palazzo Vecchio". It was constructed at the end of the 13th century. It contains rooms once inhabited by the Priors of the guilds and the private rooms of Federico I, Cosimo I and Eleanor his wife, as well as large public halls. Another beautiful book containing photos of the renaissance maps by Bonsignori which are in the Palazzo tapestries, based on cartoons by Bronzino, bronzes by Donatello, paintings by Vasari and many other treasures.
