THE APARTMENTS OF COSIMO
The third in a series of three books which make up the first comprehensive documentation of the Palazzo Vecchio. In the 16th century the medieval nucleus of Palazzo Vecchio was extended under Cosimo I an important member of the Medici family who ruled over Florence and its territory for a long period. With the help of drawings and plans the architectural vicissitudes of the 16th century nucleus of the Palazzo are described and the decorations of the two apartments commented.
