TITIAN
Titian's date of birth has always been a mystery. According to some records he lived for 103 years! In others he had a more moderate life span. Whatever the case he is an extremely valuable artist. Tiziano Vecellio was born at Pieve di Cadore into an ancient and respected family and started working as an artist very young. As a child he went to Venice and with his brother entered the workshop of Sebastiano Zuccato, founder of the San Marco mosaicists Valerio and Francesco.
