MANTEGNA
Mantegna was the son of a carpenter. Italian painter and engraver noted especially for his frescoes of Ducal Palace in Mantua and his ten years of work sculpturing for the Basilica del Santo in Padua. Here he worked with Pizzolo, assistant to Lippi and Donatello. This book is full of photos of his beautiful works and forms in the Renaissance style.
