This is quality reproduction is not just a sacred immage: the value of this Crucifix stay in the artist that created it Centuries ago and in its historical importance that had immidiately assumed. In fact this rapresentation of a Crucifix twisted the iconography of that period, than completely abandoned. Gioto is the first that understood Cimabue's teaching. The history of this masterpiece however does not end in the 14th Century: it was located in S.Croce church in Firenze during the flood of 1966. The water of Arno river covered more then halph of it, and only recently, after a patient restoring, the Crucifix is perfectly clean. The support of this reproduction is a firwood panel (19 mm), aged using cracking technique. Invisible hook for hanging. Borders with uneven finish.
