CASTELLO DI FONTERUTOLI WINE AND ANTINORI VINSANTO
Made from Sangiovese grapes and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine with deep roots in the territory represents a point of reference for the whole of Chianti Classico. The white Antinori's Vinsanto is produced primarily from Trebbiano grapes with a small addition of Malvasia. The wine undergoes lengthy aging in the traditional wooden caratelli, casks with capacities ranging between 50 and 200 liters, during which time it acquires its typical characteristics: amber color, intense distinctive aromas, velvety richness on the palate, and a pleasant well-balanced sweetness. Tuscans traditionally enjoy Vinsanto with cantuccini, dry almond biscuits, at the end of the meal.
