Guide to the collections, Royal apartments and catalogue of the Palatine Gallery. This guide shows us around the large palace built on the left bank of the river Arno, just over the Ponte Vecchio. Behind the severe and massive palace are the enchanting Boboli Gardens which rise up on the hill behind, populated with fountains, statues, shady walks and hundreds of birds and squirrels. The palace itself houses extensive royal apartments, and seven art galleries, which contain works of Titian, Tintoretto, Rosso Fiorentino, Van Dyke, Lippi and many others.
