Venice, a city with seafaring traditions, is part of its lagoon; visit on a Bragozzo one of the most unique environments of the world where you can see wonderful islands, small fishermen villages and fill your eyes with charming landscapes.
Live these places sailing ?“al terzo?” the tipical venetian sail, respecting the enviroment in total relax.
Get on a Bragozzo, a boat that for centuries has sailed the merchant courses in the northern Adriatic sea and is part of the history of Venice.
Thanks to the flat bottom these boats can sail on shallow water and navigate through landscapes that cannot be discovered by common boats.
Each bragozzo is 8.5 meter long (25ft) and 2 meter large (7 ft) and can comfortably accomodate up to 8 passengers.
Once on board we will offer you a welcome drink and for lunch you will choose between a boat pic nic or one of the tipical restaurant of the venetian lagoon.
During the navigation we will explain you the history of the lagoon and, on request, you can be guided by a naturalistic or archaeological guides.
No predefined routes, you make the routes sailing, visiting an ancient island and birdwatching while taking a break from the crowded street of Venice!

EL SULTAN: THE BRAGOZZO

The bragozzo is the boat symbol of the northern Adriatic sea. These boats where used by the Venetian fishermen and merchants to transport goods from the islands of the Quarnaro (actually north Croatia). The engine and the modern technologies determinate the fall of this boat, today there are just few units in the Venetian Lagoon.
Thank to the passion for this boat and the work of other young venetian, we have projected and built this kind of boat after 25 years from the last one.
The project has been taken from a drawing of the ?‘50s and drawn up again to fit to the modern sailing technologies by GF Engineering Marine.
The realization of this boat has been brought up by the F.lli Vidal shipyard, three young artisans specialized in the construction of classic wooden boats, the typical of the Venetian Lagoon.
To symbolize the rebirth of this kind of boat, on the left and on right of the bow has been drown a phoenix; this and the other decoration where made by a group of students of the Accademia di Belle Arti of Venice.
The result is "el sultan".
